World Day Against Child Labour is observed annually on June 12. This day was added to the Gregorian calendar in 2002 by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in response to global concerns about child labour and its negative effects on children's health and education. The observance aims to draw public and governmental attention to the issue of child labour and to encourage efforts to reduce and eliminate it.
